Victoria Trip - Greek Islands Restaurant in Abbotsford

One more stop for a great meal before we hit Victoria.  Whenever I'm in Abbotsford I must have dinner at the Greek Islands. The food is always amazing, the prices are reasonable and the service is great. The Owner is always there making sure his guests are happy and well taken care of.

And we got to stop and visit our great friends Leslie and Hugo so it was a bonus!  We all ordered different items which we all very much enjoyed. Leslie and Hugo shared the Greek Platter for two. What an AMAZING display of food. It was delicious and included roast lamb, spanakopita, calamari, keftedes, chicken souvlaki, tzatziki, hummus, pita, rice, roast potatoes and veggies. Absolutely divine!

My son started with the bacon wrapped chicken in bbq sauce which he very much enjoyed and then had the Kotta Phyllo which I had never seen before but which sounded really good. It is chicken breast tenders, fresh mushrooms, green onions, and cheeses and herbs wrapped in phyllo pastry. Then oven baked and topped with a cheese sauce.

I had the Schnitzel Oscar which was very good. I had it with their loaded smashed potato. You got to try this! I'm not sure what they do with it but it was the first time that I had it and it was delicious. My husband had the lasagna which was very good as well. All the dinners come with their daily soup and either a Greek or Caesar salad. Lots of food! The Soup of the Day was a creamy tomato soup and it was awesome. They have a good selection of reasonably prices wines and we were able to enjoy ourselves over a couple bottles. Although the restaurant was very busy with many large Xmas party groups we were never rushed and we were able to enjoy a very nice visit with our good friends.
