Amazing Eggs Benedict . . . and we've been to some of the best in Victoria! Really, really, really good. We arrived to a packed dining room and a lineup but we were quickly seated and made friends with the table next to us! The Eggs Benny selection is awesome so I was immediately impressed (ok, truth be told I had already read the menu online several times so I wasn't surprised but still impressed!)
The Stilton and Bacon Benny was on the top of all three of our lists but I always like to try more than one dish so I ordered the Benny special which was maple bacon, carmelized onions and cheese curds. My husband and I shared and both were absolutely delicious! Unfortunately mine I didn't get much stilton which I was really looking forward to but my uncle said he had a nice size piece on his which he said was delicious. I will definitely return again to try it and the Dungeness with crab, shrimp, shallots, cilantro and bell peppers.
The food is absolutely amazing and the side potatoes were nice and crispy and served with crispy onions. Very good.
"And to top it off I had a "Man"mosa - at the suggestion of the table next to us! It is an oversized Mimosa and was probably the best one I've had in awhile. A regular Mimosa if $4.50 and this was priced at $9.00. It was well worth it for a special treat! Highly recommend the Heron Rock Bistro!
