We ended up at Bar C for brunch on Saturday afternoon after walking up and down 17th Avenue and checking out menus.
They are located right next to their sister restaurant Cilantro.
Funky looking place on the outside with a great hidden patio inside.
Phil loved the coffee in a unique glass mug with raw sugar.
But the Eggs Benedict is what we came for and it didn't disappoint! It is described on the menu as:
Poached egg, duck confit, wilted spinach, pumpkin bacon waffle, maltese sauce
The eggs were cooked perfectly. The sauce was great and very much like a tasty hollandaise. The waffle was out of this world and the duck confit was tender and tasty. It all melded very nicely together and was a great dish.
Phil ordered the ham and eggs which would have looked prettier had he have ordered poached eggs rather than fried eggs but the polenta that it atopped was delicious.
It was a beautiful sunny day which we enjoyed on the great patio.
